Manikaran

Manikaran is situated in Parvati Valley, at the distance of 34 km from Bhuntar. The water from the hot sulphur spring at Manikaran is said to have medicinal value and is a cure for number of chronic ailments. Manikaran is also known for temple of ‘Lord Shiva’ who remained in ‘Samsadhi’ for eleven thousand year in ‘Treta Yug’. Temple of ‘Maryada Parshotam Ram’ Naina Mata and Gurdwara Shri Hari Har Ghat are also there. Manikara sahib is a pilgrim of Sikhs as well as Hindus. First Guru of Sikh’s Shri Guru Nanak Dev is visited this place along with their disciple Mardana. Its a very important place for both Sikhs and Hindus, every day few thousand people visit this place, especially during summers by many people from Punjab and other parts of India visit this place. Food (Langar) and accommodation is provided in Gurdwara free of cost.
